Dinamia Capital Privado, Sociedad de Capital Riesgo, S.A. is the first listed private equity firm in Spain (listed since December 1997).
Dinamia’s overriding goal is to provide its shareholders with a tax efficient opportunity for investment in a diversified portfolio of unlisted companies, combined with the transparency and liquidity benefits of investing in a listed vehicle.
The company’s ordinary business is to buy and sell equity investments in unlisted companies with the ultimate goal of generating capital gains over the medium to long term. This activity is known as private equity and constitutes an investment alternative for major institutional investors.
Since its IPO in 1997, Dinamia’s track record has been outstanding. It started out with investments in 10 unlisted companies; since then it has made an additional 30 investments. Over the same timeframe it has concluded 25 full exits (the 10 initial investments plus 15 more), generating a gross annual return on realised deals of 24%. Today the company is invested in 14 unlisted companies, 1 in listed company and 1 shareholding in a private equity fund (Electra Partners Club 2007 Lp) and net asset value stands at over €171million.
